Festival Geopark Pulau Belitong II diselenggarakan oleh Yayasan Geopark Indonesia bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Pariwisata RI, Pemprov. Kep. Babel, Pemda Belitung dan Belitung Timur, Alumni ITB 81, Gapabel, PT. Belitung Mandiri, Rumah Batik D’Mahen, dan Sanggar Payong Tara pada tanggal 23-26 November 2017 (Pulau Belitong). Banyak rangkaian acara yang sudah disusun untuk memeriahkan festival ini, untuk Belitung Timur diselenggarakan selama 2 (dua) hari, Sabtu – Minggu (25-26 November 2017) dengan rangkaian acara sebagai berikut: Hari Sabtu (25 November 2017): Geo Fashion dan Geo Coffee, Hari Minggu (26 November 2017): Geo Walk, Geo Trek, Geo Band, dan Geo Culture. Festival ini juga melibatkan masyarakat untuk ikut berpartisipasi mengisi berbagai rangkaian acaranya. Festival Geopark Pulau Belitong II Belitung Timur menarik minat masyarakat Belitung Timur khususnya dan masyarakat Pulau Belitong untuk menyaksikannya. ‘’MELALUI POTENSI GEOPARK..MAJULAH PARIWISATA PULAU BELITONG’’
Geopark Festival of Belitong Island II was held by Yayasan Geopark Indonesia in corporation with the Ministry of Tourism Republic Indonesia, Belitung Government, East Belitung Government, The Alumni of ITB 81, PT. Belitung Mandiri, D’ Mahen House of Batik, and the art and cultural group “Payong Tara”. The event was held on Saturday and Sunday, November 25th till 26th 2017 with the series of activities as follows: Saturday (November 25th, 2017): Geo Fashion and Geo Coffee, Sunday (November 26th, 2017): Geo Walk, Geo Trek, Geo Band, and Geo Culture. This event also involved the local people to participate and attracted the local people of East Belitung specially, and the people of Belitong in generally to support the theme “’MELALUI POTENSI GEOPARK, MAJULAH PARIWISATA PULAU BELITONG’’
